The Importance Of Grounding

Chi is a type of energy that flows through the body, similar to electricity.
Research shows that it may even be the force that controls all movement in the body. When we practice techniques like yoga, visualization, or Chi Kung, we can redirect and concentrate the flow of Chi, making it more powerful. However, if we don't ground this energy, we can experience severe side effects.

Grounding is a technique that helps us connect with the earth and bring ourselves into a state of mental, emotional, and physical balance. By directing our energy downward and connecting with the earth's energy, we can attract energy from the ground (Yin) and mix it with our own; by doing so, we can restore balance within a body with excess Yang energy; and expend our energetic vessel. We can also recycle energy by sending it into the earth and absorbing healing energy from it.

Grounding is beneficial for both physical and mental health. It helps to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, and increase feelings of inner peace and well-being. Grounding also helps with physical symptoms such as inflammation, pain, and fatigue.

Overall, grounding is crucial to sustaining a healthy balance of energy in the body; and preventing any harmful effects resulting from an excess or imbalance of energy.
